Heidi Keefe is a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation group at Cooley LLP. Ms. Keefe specializes in representing clients in high-stakes patent trials before juries and judges. As a former astrophysicist and registered patent attorney, she understands a variety of technical disciplines, ranging from software to medical devices. Some of her notable clients include Facebook, Inc., HTC Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, eBay Inc., Nike and LinkedIn Corporation. Ms. Keefe has played a leading role in the defense of Facebook's patent litigation cases since 2007, and is currently co-leading Cooley's legal team representing Facebook in its patent litigation suits with Yahoo! Ms. Keefe has frequently been recognized as a leading lawyer, including being named one of the "Top 45 Women Attorneys in the U.S. under 45" by The American Lawyer and one of Northern California's "Super Lawyers" in 2010. She has been named to California legal publication, The Daily Journal's, Top Women Lawyers list multiple times and was recognized as one of the "Top 20 Lawyers Under the Age of 40" in 2009. Ms. Keefe was also recognized as one of "The Bay Area's Best Lawyers" by Bay Area Lawyer magazine. Ms. Keefe received a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and her B.A. from Wellesley College.
