Nelson Boyle, Esq., heads up the 5280 Appellate Group, a division of The Paul Wilkinson Law Firm. His practice centers on civil appeals. Nelson also litigates personal injury, insurance bad faith, and civil rights lawsuits. Nelson is a past Chair of the CBA Appellate Section's CLE Planning Committee. He also serves on the CBA Amicus Curiae Committee, the Board of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, as Chair Emeritus of CTLA's Amicus Curiae Committee, and on the Amicus Curiae Committees of the American Association for Justice and the Lawyers Commitee for Civil Rights. Nelson has authored articles published in AAJ’s Trial, CTLA’s Trial Talk, and CBA’s Colorado Lawyer, and he’s also written chapters about class actions, jury instructions, and verdict forms in an edition of the Colorado Practice Series, and two chapters in the upcoming 2025 edition of the Colorado Appellate Handbook. Outside work, Nelson enjoys hiking and camping.
