Hugh Young has provided thousands of individuals with the guidance they needed to reach wise and durable solutions to the issues that divided them. He has been a full-time professional mediator since 2003 and is under contract with the Colorado Judicial Branchʼs Office of Dispute Resolution to provide mediation services to the four courts of the 11th Judicial District (Fremont, Chaffee, Park and Custer Counties). Prior to becoming a mediator, Hugh provided training in conflict resolution and Aikido to schools, organizations, businesses, and individuals. Hugh is certified as an Advanced Family Practitioner by the Association for Conflict Resolution and has conducted over 3,000 court-referred mediations. He is the developer of the aikiCommunication system of collaborative dialogue and developed and presents the Bridging the Political Divide Workshop to government and community groups.
