Gary Fowler based in Denver Colorado, leads the National Banking and Energy groups for Bank of the West. His team originates structures and manages relationships throughout the inter-mountain West focusing on commercial clients in the middle-market and large corporate segments. Founded in 1874, Bank of the West, is a full-service commercial bank serving the personal and business needs of customers in 19 states through a network of more than 700 locations. With the Banks parent, BNP Paribas, one of the largest and best capitalized banks in the world, Bank of the West has the resources and capabilities to originate commercial and consumer loans and leases, as well as providing a full range of cash management, deposit, banking, trust and investment products. The National Banking Group provides customized solutions to corporate clients that require specialized expertise and products delivered through their personal relationship banker. The group also works with middle-market financial investors and advisors to maximize the borrowing potential of their clients by focusing on the underlying value of a company's cash flow and assets. The Energy Lending team focus' on privately held E&P companies throughout the US and oil field service companies in the Rocky Mountain region providing all facets of borrowing, banking and cash management solutions. Gary, a noted speaker on the debt markets, brings over twenty-five years of banking and finance experience to his job. Throughout his career Mr. Fowler has been responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commercial and corporate banking transactions including growth capital, acquisitions, management and leverage buyouts, turnarounds and recapitalizations. Mr. Fowlers' experiences also include managing an investment banking firm working with companies on debt and equity placements. Gary is past president of the Denver Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Corporate Finance Association. Additionally Gary serves on the board of directors with a number of non-profit organizations. Mr. Fowler was educated in finance at the University of Southern California where he also played football for the Trojans. Gary and his wife live with their two teenage boys in the south Denver metro area.
