Stan Soocher is the long-time editor-in-chief of Entertainment Law & Finance. He is also Associate Professor and former Chair of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. In addition, Stan has a background as an entertainment attorney, is author of the book “They Fought the Law: Rock Music Goes to Court,” and is currently at work a music law textbook. Stan is a multi-recipient of ASCAP's Deems Taylor Award for Excellence in Music Journalism, including for his music law articles in Rolling Stone and The National Law Journal.
