Lyne Ranson is founder and sole member of Lyne Ranson Law Offices, PLLC family law firm in Charleston, WV. She was selected to serve as Chair of the state family law committee for the West Virginia State Bar as well as the Kanawha County (Charleston area) Family Law Bench-Bar Committee. Lyne was admitted as a fellow in the AAML. She is also active in the ABA Family Law Section where she serves on Council and as CLE C0-chair 2018-19. Over the past several years Lyne has been a frequent speaker at national and state CLEs on prenuptial agreements, alimony trial techniques and presenting an equitable distribution case without experts. Prior to being a family law attorney, Lyne was a federal trial prosecutor specializing in white collar crime, administrative law judge and was the 3rd female elected in the state as circuit trial judge. She taught trial advocacy skills at WVU law school for over a decade and now practices family law exclusively with her daughter, Brittany and two other associates. Lyne is the proud young grandmother of one year old twin girls.
