Christina F. Gomez

Colorado Court of Appeals
Judge Gomez was appointed to the Colorado Court of Appeals in 2019. Before her appointment to the bench, she was a partner and chair of the appellate group at Holland & Hart LLP. Over the course of her 15 years in private practice, she litigated hundreds of appeals in state and federal courts in a wide variety of areas.
 
Judge Gomez frequently speaks and writes about appellate topics. She has served as a co-editor of The Colorado Lawyer Appellate Practice Column since 2014 and co-chaired the CBA-CLE Annual Appellate Practice Update from 2011 to 2020. She is also active in access to justice efforts, including helping to create the Appellate Pro Bono Program and the Civil Appeals Clinic for self-represented litigants in the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. At the Court of Appeals, she co-chairs the court's IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism) committee and is active in various other court committees and work groups.
 
Judge Gomez graduated from Millsaps College and Harvard Law School. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Charles A. Pannell, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
