Leah P. VanLandschoot, Esq., is an employment attorney with Brownstein Hyatt Farber
Schreck LLP. Ms. VanLandschoot is licensed to practice law in Colorado and represents
employers in state and federal court, as well as before federal and state administrative
agencies in all facets of employment law. Ms. VanLandschoot specializes in defending
clients against charges of discrimination and harassment in violation of Title VII, the ADA,
and ADEA, and has successfully litigated against claims of sexual harassment, sex
discrimination, national origin discrimination, race discrimination, and retaliation in the
United States District Court for the District of Colorado. She also spends
time counseling clients on non-compete agreements, FMLA issues, FLSA compliance, and
employment policies. Prior to joining Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, Ms.
VanLandschoot worked as a commercial litigator at Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP. Ms.
VanLandschoot earned her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Catherine in St.
Paul, Minnesota, and earned her J.D., Order of St. Ives, from the University of Denver Sturm
College of Law. Ms. VanLandschoot was named by Colorado Super Lawyers as a 2010 Rising Star in the area of Employment Litigation: Defense. In addition to representing her
clients, Ms. VanLandschoot serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee
of the Women's Bean Project, a local non-profit organization dedicated helping women break
the cycle of chronic unemployment and poverty.
