James Garts, Esq., is a family law attorney and mediator based in Denver but with a practice that at times spans the state. First licensed to practice law in Tennessee during 2002 and with nearly 20-years of experience, James manages a caseload of clientele with divorce and custody disputes or simply agreements they want made clear and enforceable, but most of all understood. James excels in client contact and education with one goal in mind - obtaining the best possible outcome in a difficult family situation. James furthers his interest in seeking justice and equity through voluntary dispute resolution and vigorous litigation when necessary. James graduated from The Colorado College in 1999, and obtained his law degree in 2002 from the Samford University Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. He began his legal career in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, and moved back to Colorado in 2006 where he began practicing in the field of family law, which continues to this day at Garts Law, LLC. An active member and active volunteer with the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, James furthers his interest in seeking justice and equity through voluntary dispute resolution and vigorous litigation when necessary.
