Sara M. Strufing, Esq., grew up in Niwot Colorado. She was a Senior at Niwot High School during the Columbine Shooting. Sara graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2003, and the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2006. After many years of interning during College and Law School she began as a Deputy State Public Defender in the Brighton Regional Office in 2006. Sara worked for many years representing adult clients until 2014 when she asked to transition to the Youth Defense team in the Office. In 2017 she became a Supervising Deputy Public Defender for the Youth Team in the Brighton Office as well as Supervising the attorneys assigned to the Broomfield Courts.
