Larry R. Martinez was, for 20 years, a shareholder and a past chair of the Litigation, Labor & Employment Group of the Denver law firm of Berenbaum Weinshienk P.C., that merged with Spencer Fane LLP. Mr. Martinez, who has practiced since 1974, has been an assistant attorney general, an adjunct professor of Legal Research and Writing at the University of Colorado School of Law, an adjunct professor of Business Law and Ethics at the University of Denver Daniels School of Business, and the former editor of and frequent contributor to “Employment Rights and Wrongs,” Sunday Rocky Mountain News, Job Market section; “Keep It Legal,” Sunday Boulder Camera, Jobs and Careers section; and Colorado Jobs. Mr. Martinez's practice emphasizes employment, commercial litigation, insurance defense, construction defects, business real estate, property tax, personal injury matters, and environmental and toxic tort litigation arising from exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation. His expertise includes 24 years of defense representation for the owner, operators, and insurers of the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant (later known as the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site and now known as the Rocky Flats Site) in radiation/chemical injury and contamination claims.
