David B. Strong

David “Dave” B. Strong represents a wide range of corporate, pass-through, and individual clients in connection with the tax aspects of complex domestic and international transactional matters.  Dave's nationally-recognized areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, restructurings, distressed situations, and initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions. Dave currently serves as the vice chair of the Corporate Tax Committee of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association and he is scheduled to chair that committee beginning in 2012.  Dave is also a frequent speaker on corporate and other tax matters at local, regional, and national seminars and continuing legal education programs. In addition to his leadership position within the American Bar Association, Dave is an active member of the Tax Sections of the New York and Colorado bar associations, and has been involved in the Denver Business Forum, Denver Metro “Chamber 100,” and the New York Legal Aid Society. Dave has also served as president and as a board member of the Denver Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Dave received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he served as associate editor of the Stanford Law Review.  Dave also received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, where he served as graduate editor of the Tax Law Review.  Prior to moving to Denver, Mr. Strong worked in New York City for several years as both a transactional tax attorney and as an investment banker.
