Jörg Rehder is a Partner with the German law firm of Schiedermair in Frankfurt, Germany. Jörg is licensed to practice in Germany, in the United States (Maryland and Minnesota) and in England & Wales. His practice focuses on advising US companies on doing business in Germany, both with respect to labor and employment matters as well as corporate matters. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to small start-up companies. He practiced in the United States for an aggregate of four years, including with Faegre & Benson (now Faegre Baker Daniels) in Minneapolis from 1995 to 1997. He continued his practice in Germany with Faegre & Benson in Frankfurt from 1997 to 2001 and subsequently with Jones Day in Frankfurt from 2001 to 2013. Jörg's cross-cultural German and American background gives him the unique ability to advise not only on the legal aspects of cross-border transactional work, but he also assists US companies with the many nuances of doing business in a foreign country. Jörg graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Economics (1984) and a JD/MA from the University of Denver (1988 and 1989, respectively). He has taught Business Associations and Corporate Law at the University of Osnabrück (Germany) since 2011.
