Dianna Lyons is a paralegal with over 25 years experience in various legal fields. She joined First Data Corporation’s legal department in 1995 and shortly after that the company merged with First Financial Management Corporation. Dianna then started her IP career with management of the trademark portfolio and the 150 year-old Western Union brand. Since then she has managed all facets of Western Union’s trademark portfolio including clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement. Since the spinoff of Western Union from First Data in 2006, Dianna and the IP Group now also manage prosecution and maintenance of the patent portfolio and the company’s Patent Incentive Program. They also handle licensing of the company’s intellectual property, copyright matters and management of the domain name portfolio. Dianna and her Team also conduct several IP training sessions throughout the company each year. Dianna serves on the Advisory Board for the paralegal program at Arapahoe Community College.
