Qusair Mohamedbhai, Esq. is a founding partner at the law firm of RATHOD | MOHAMEDBHAI LLC. He advocates for the rights of employees in the workplace, for the rights of students in schools, and for the civil rights of all individuals against governmental and institutional abuses of power. He has the largest settlements in Colorado's history for the sexual abuse of children by school district officials and killings by law enforcement. Among many high-profile litigations, he recently represented the family of Christian Glass who was killed by the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office, the single mother of Elijah McClain whose son who was killed by the Aurora Police Department, and five minors abused in the Cherry Creek School District. These national public interest cases resulted in settlements of $19 million, $15 million, and $11.5 million respectively and significant systemic policy changes. He serves as Special Counsel to the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline, as an advisor to the Mexican government concerning discrimination against its nationals in the Rocky Mountain region and is the pro bono general counsel to the Colorado Muslim Society, Colorado's largest mosque. He is the former president of the board of CBA-CLE and is a current board member of the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado. He has received numerous honors for his work, including Law Week Colorado's Lawyer of Year and multiple Barrister's Best awards, was featured on the cover of Super Lawyers magazine, and in 2022 was invited by President Biden to the White House in recognition for his work on police violence reform. He has received community advocacy awards from the Anti-Defamation League, One Colorado, the American Association for Justice, Firefly Autism, and the LGBT and Sam Cary bar associations. He is a recipient of the Richard Marden Davis Award and is a three-time winner of CTLA's Case of the Year. Qusair graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2003.
