Kara C. Martin

Kara Martin, Esq., serves as the Domestic Relations Coordinator for the Office of the State Court Administrator. Kara previously served the Judicial Branch as a magistrate in the 18th Judicial District, presiding over domestic relations, county court civil, and county court criminal dockets. Prior to returning to the Judicial Branch in 2013, Kara directed the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center Domestic Violence Program. Kara began her career as a staff attorney with Indian Pueblo Legal Services, n/k/a New Mexico Legal Aid, followed by service as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the New Mexico Child Support Enforcement Department and private practice as an elder law attorney. Kara earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law in 1996.
