Univ of Denver-Sturm College of LawRegina Germain, Esq., teaches Asylum Law and an Asylum Law Practicum at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. She is author of AILA’s Asylum Primer: A Practical Guide to U.S. Asylum Law and Procedure (American Immigration Lawyers Association, 6th Ed. 2009). She is a frequent speaker on asylum law and related topics. Prior to teaching at the University of Denver, she was Legal Director of the Rocky Mountain Survivors Center and also served as Senior Legal Counselor for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Washington, DC. She holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law, and a B.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. .
