Max Jones, Esq., was in-house counsel for two major insurance companies prior to joining his firm. As a Partner in the firm, Max specializes in handling claims involving premises liability, toxic torts, trucking and personal injury defense. He also counsels numerous insurance carriers on first and third party coverage issues and represents carriers in bad faith litigation. Often, his cases involve claims for punitive damages, the Colorado Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), and Colorado's statutory bad faith statutes, C.R.S. 10-3-1115 and 1116. Max is a member of the Insurance Law and Product Liability committees of the Defense Research Institute, as well as the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He is licensed in both Colorado and Louisiana, where he practiced for five years before relocating to Colorado. Max received his law degree from Louisiana State University's Law Center, in 1998.
