Jenny E. McClister

Jenny McClister, Esq., has helped clients identify, minimize and manage environmental liability in their businesses since 2003. Her practice has ranged from representing individuals in environmental enforcement actions to advising Fortune 500 companies on environmental risks in mergers and acquisitions. She has a strong background in analyzing contamination liabilities and has helped numerous clients understand and navigate complex regulatory programs. Jenny believes that the best way to manage environmental risk is to face it directly and use strategic tools to help minimize and manage it.  She helps clients identify practical solutions so that they can act confidently to address risks that arise in their businesses. Jenny earned her law degree from the University of Colorado in 2003, where she graduated sixth in her class and was made a member of the Colorado Chapter of the Order of the Coif.  Prior to law school, she graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1995 with a B.A. in History.  Jenny is admitted to the Colorado and North Carolina bars. Before establishing McClister Law, Jenny held the position of Counsel at the international law firm Hogan Lovells where she practiced in the firm's environmental group. Jenny currently serves on the Advisory Committee to the Environmental Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is spear-heading a subcommittee to implement the CBA's Environmental Sustainability Program.
