R. Mack Babcock, Esq., has been practicing workers' compensation law in Colorado for over seventeen years.  He began his legal career at Ruegsegger Simons Smith & Stern, LLC defending carriers and employers in workers' compensation cases and in pursuing workers' compensation subrogation liens in third party cases. In 2007, Mr. Babcock opened The Babcock Law Firm, LLC where he has remained the Managing Attorney since.  The Babcock Law Firm, LLC specializes in representing injured individuals and their families in workers' compensation, personal injury and insurance dispute matters. Mr. Babcock graduated with honors from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2002. Mr. Babcock has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa. Mr. Babcock served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1992 through 2000. Mr. Babcock has been a Board Member of the Workers' Compensation Education Association (“WCEA”) since 2010 and was the organization's President from 2012 to 2014. Mr. Babcock has testified in front of the Colorado legislature on numerous occasions in his capacity as a WCEA Board Member and President on workers' compensation legislation. Mr. Babcock is a Board Member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (“CTLA”) and the Chair of CTLA's Workers' Compensation Committee.  Mr. Babcock is a Board Member of the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (“WILG”) and is currently the organization's Secretary. Mr. Babcock has presented multiple continuing legal education seminars on a wide range of workers' compensation topics including workers' compensation legislation, discovery and investigation tactics, bad faith claims practices, idiopathic conditions, unknown falls, marijuana and workers' compensation, workers' compensation subrogation, and national workers' compensation trends. Mr. Babcock is listed as one of Colorado's top workers' compensation attorneys by Colorado Super Lawyers and by Denver's 5280 Magazine.  Mr. Babcock has been nominated twice for Claimant's Attorney of the Year by Colorado Professionals in Workers' Compensation, a bi-partisan professional organization.
