Metropolitan State University of Denver, Department of Criminal Justice and CriminologyDuring his 28 years of military duty, G. Anthony (Tony) Wolusky served as an Air Force judge advocate. In addition to providing legal advice to combatant commanders in Saudi Arabia, Germany, Korea, and Bosnia, Lt Col Wolusky served as a military prosecutor, defense counsel, and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the Superintendent of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Prior to his duties as a judge advocate, Lt Col Wolusky also served in the Air Force as an Intelligence Officer, ROTC instructor, and ICBM Launch Officer. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado and California. After his retirement from the Air Force in 2004, Lt Col Wolusky has worked to help other veterans, especially the homeless, and served several years as State Judge Advocate for the Colorado Veterans of Foreign Wars, providing legal counsel to state, district, and post-level staff, including the State Commander, on effective operations of more than 100 community VFW Posts and nearly 20,000 combat veterans across the state. Lt Col Wolusky is currently an online faculty member for Metropolitan State University of Denver, Salve Regina University, and Southern New Hampshire University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in law, homeland security, and political science. He is also an avid Colorado trail runner and will complete his fourth marathon in Berlin this coming fall. He was elected in July 2016 to be the National Judge Advocate for the Veterans of Foreign Wars for its 1.7 million members and 6,600 Posts worldwide.
