Leslie A. Tuft focuses her legal practice on construction defect and product liability litigation and related appeals and insurance disputes at Burg, Simpson, Eldredge, Hersh & Jardine, P.C. in Englewood, Colorado. She practiced law with the Denver law firm Sullan2, Sandgrund, Perczak & Nuss,
P.C. and its predecessors from 2005 until its merger with Burg, Simpson in 2014.
 
Ms. Tuft has successfully briefed and argued several appeals before Colorado’s appellate courts and co-authored many articles and books concerning important construction defect, insurance, and ethics issues, including Residential Construction Law in Colorado, which won the 2011 national Award of Professional Excellence given by the Association for Continuing Legal Education, and the “Class Counsel’s Professional Responsibilities,” chapter in Lawyers’ Professional Liability in Colorado: Preventing Legal Malpractice and Disciplinary Actions (Michael Mihm, ed., CLE in Colo., Inc. 2018). She has co-authored several articles selected as leading scholarship in the field and reprinted nationally in the annual Legal Handbook for Architects, Engineers and Contractors: Issues in Construction and Technology (Albert Dib, ed., Thompson-Reuters Publishing).
 
Ms. Tuft is admitted to practice law in California and before all Colorado courts, and has been named a Colorado Super Lawyers® Rising Star. She was a National Merit Scholar and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Utah where she studied political science and philosophy. She attended Stanford Law School, where she received the Hilmer Oehlmann Jr. Award for excellence in legal research and writing and the Lawrason Driscoll Moot Court Award. While at Stanford, Ms. Tuft served as copresident of Stanford’s Kirkwood Moot Court program (2000-2001).
