Matthew D. Grove
Colorado Court of AppealsHonorable Matthew D. Grove was sworn in as a Judge of the Court of Appeals on January 9, 2019. He previously served in the Public Officials Unit of the State Services Section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office since 2009, where he was appointed to the position of Assistant Solicitor General in 2014 and Senior Assistant Attorney General in 2015. As a member of the Public Officials Unit, he represented Colorado's statewide elected officials, the Judicial Branch, and several executive branch agencies. Before joining the Public Officials Unit, Judge Grove was an attorney in private practice with Bjork Lindley Little PC (2007-2009), an Assistant Attorney General with the Appellate Division of the Attorney General's Office (2003-2007), and a law clerk to Justice Nathan B. Coats on the Colorado Supreme Court (2002-2003). Judge Grove earned his A.B. from Duke University in 1998 and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2002.
