Alexandra (Ali) Smits, Esq., is a partner at Harrington Brewster & Clein, P.C. and the Denver Center for Mediation and Collaborative Law. She provides traditional, unbundled, and Collaborative Law representation in all areas of family law including complex divorce, child custody, child support modification, and adoption. Ali also regularly mediates family law disputes for pro se and represented parties. Ali is a member of the Board of Directors of Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee (MDIC) and served on the Board of Directors of Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals (CCDP) from 2014-2016. She is a founding member of the Denver Source for Collaborative Divorce and regularly presents on alternative methods of dispute resolution to Denver-area nonprofits including Blue Iris and the Second Saturday Divorce Workshop. Ali is a member of the Colorado Bar Association's Family Law Section and the Denver Bar Association. She received her mediation training from Mares-Dixon and Associates in 2015 and is a trained Collaborative Law (Level 1 and Level 2) practitioner. Ali is a graduate of the University of California at Davis (BA), the London School of Economics (MA), and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (JD).
