Robin Lutz Beattie, Esq., is a partner at the law firm of Polidori Franklin Monahan & Beattie L.L.C., where she practices all aspects of family law. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Amicus Committee of the Family Law Section, was the Chair of the CBA Family Law Section for the 2018-2019 term, is a past President of the First Judicial District Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for Court Support Jeffco. Ms. Beattie is a frequent lecturer on family law topics. Ms. Beattie attended law school at the University of Colorado School of Law. She has published articles in the University of Colorado Law Review, “Experimenting with Death: An Examination of Colorado's Use of the Three-Judge Panel in Capital Sentencing,” and The Colorado Lawyer, “Postsecondary Education Expenses After Chalat: Paying College Expenses After Divorce” and “Common law Marriage: A New Definition of an Age-Old Concept.” She wrote the chapter concerning common law marriage for the Bench Bar Book published by the CBA Family Law Section, and contributed to the chapters concerning jurisdiction and maintenance for that same publication. She also wrote the chapter on Spousal Maintenance for The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Domestic Relations Law. Ms. Beattie has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America every year since 2018 and has been named as a Super Lawyer every year since 2019.
