Steven J. Penner, Ph.D., JD, is a partner of Lathrop & Gage LLP. Steve's practice in intellectual property law emphasizes business-oriented strategic and diligence activities, transactions, and the generation and development of strong patent portfolio assets. He works with clients from private start-ups to universities to large publicly traded companies. With a background including advanced degrees in the fields of immunology and microbiology, he has direct experience in the biotechnology industry inventing and developing innovative technologies ultimately launched as products.
