Francesca (Chessie) Morgan, Esq., is in her fourteenth year as an attorney in the Family and Children Unit of Colorado Legal Services where she focuses her practice on family law. Colorado Legal Services is a non-profit agency that provides free, high-quality civil legal services to low-income individuals and seniors. Chessie began working at Colorado Legal Services in 2006. After leaving Colorado Legal Services in 2019, Chessie worked at a private family law firm and took time off to be with her family, Chessie returned to Colorado Legal Services earlier this year. Chessie has served on multiple local domestic violence task forces, participated in triage meetings with the Denver DA's Office and the Denver Police Department, and has provided supervision and mentoring for law student interns and volunteer attorneys. She is a former member of the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues, a current member of the Adams County Domestic Violence High Risk Team, and she volunteers regularly with Project Safeguard's legal clinics. Chessie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and her law degree from the University of Colorado.
