She is a 5280 Top Lawyer recipient for several years and the 2017 recipient of the Sam Cary Bar Association “Warrior of Justice” Award. Ms. Jones developed the Housing Eviction Legal Program (H.E.L.P.) to help close the civil justice gap in Colorado housing cases and to minimize the negative effects that where homelessness can result from evictions. In collaboration with the City of Denver, she participates in its Eviction Defense Clinic at Denver County Courthouse every Monday. Her office also has provided Denver City residents with a free HELP-Line since 2014 for tenants. This resource provides information on the legal rights of tenants, the legal processes, legal procedures and referrals for affordable legal representation when needed to help Balance the Scales of Justice.
