He started the firm after spending 15 years as a design engineer and as an attorney in both private practice and as in-house counsel for a multi-national publicly traded company. Craig is a patent attorney registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in California and Colorado. He is also admitted to practice in many district and appeal courts throughout the country. Ian Schick is CEO and co-founder of Paximal, an agentic AI platform for patent procurement. A registered patent attorney, technologist, and entrepreneur, Ian has helped lead patent automation since co-founding Specifio in 2017, the first commercialized mass-content generator for patents. He previously practiced patent law at Pillsbury and led the Machine Generated Legal Documents project at Stanford CodeX. Ian’s work focuses on patent document automation, portfolio strategy, and the practical adoption of agentic systems in legal practice. He is also active in AIPLA, where he holds leadership roles involving artificial intelligence and law practice innovation. Micheal Binns is Head of Patents & Trade Secrets and a Director and Associate General Counsel on the Patent, Licensing and Open Source team at Meta, formerly Facebook. As a registered patent attorney, Mike’s helped protect global copyrights and trademarks in addition to patent rights for a wide range of industries. At present, he advises on global IP portfolio strategy and risk mitigation related the future of AI, social networking, AR/VR/MR, FinTech, and the metaverse. Micheal has and continues to protect the knowledge, systems, and inventions that are business-critical drivers of revenue.
