Kelley R. Southerland
17th Judicial District
The Honorable Kelley R. Southerland serves as a district court judge in the 17th Judicial District. Judge Southerland was appointed as a magistrate in October, 2017, and she was appointed as district court judge effective January, 2023. Prior to her appointment, Judge Southerland practiced in domestic relations, mediation, and juvenile law, with a focus on the best interests of children. Judge Southerland is a trained mediator, collaborative law professional, Child and Family Investigator, Parenting Coordinator/Decision-Maker, and Guardian ad litem. Judge Southerland is passionate about improving access to justice for self-represented litigants, and improving wellness both in the courts and in the community.
