Michelle B. Ferguson
Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe PCMichelle B. Ferguson, Esq. is a partner and the head of the Employment Law Practice Group at Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, P.C., where she counsels private and public employers on all types of employment law matters. Michelle's practice focuses on "preventative" employment law - finding ways to keep employers out of court by being proactive in identifying and addressing employment law issues before an employee files a claim. Michelle also routinely provides in-house training for employers and their employees, conducts independent investigations into allegations of discrimination and retaliation, and conducts internal FLSA and Form I-9 audits. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 1995 (Psychology major and Music minor), and graduated magna cum laude from American University's Washington College of Law in 1998. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2002, Michelle clerked with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York and represented the City and its agencies against employment claims filed in federal and state court. Selected as a "Super Lawyer" for Labor & Employment Law in 2015 and a Rising Star in Employment Law in "Super Lawyer" magazine 2009-2012, and the DBA's 2006 Young Lawyer of the Year, Michelle is an active member of the Denver Bar Association and various civic and charitable organizations throughout the Denver-metro area.
