Messner Reeves LLPDeanne Stodden, Esq., is a partner with Messner Reeves, LLP. Deanne's practice encompasses all areas of real estate law and corporate law. The majority of Ms. Stodden's legal career has focused on representing lenders in foreclosures, loan workouts, bankruptcy, evictions and litigation related to mortgage lending and real estate matters as well as drafting and enforcing commercial leases and other contracts. Ms. Stodden has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and drafted an amicus brief for a case in front of the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Stodden is currently a part-time teaching professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder where she teaches Real Estate Law. In addition to her work, Ms. Stodden is active in the legal community and is a frequent author and speaker on a variety of real estate law topics. Ms. Stodden served two three-year terms on the Colorado Bar Association Real Estate Section Council. In addition, Ms. Stodden is the Managing Editor of the Colorado Bar Association CLE Colorado Real Estate Practice books and Real Estate Practice Course - which is considered to be Colorado's preeminent course in the basics of real estate law. Ms. Stodden is on the Board of Directors and is the Chief Governance Officer for the American Legal and Financial Network, the largest national network of legal and residential mortgage banking professionals. Ms. Stodden also serves on the Board of Governors for the Colorado Mortgage Lenders' Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).
