Deanne Stodden, Esq., is a partner with Messner Reeves, LLP. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Ms. Stodden was the owner of the Stodden Law Firm, LLC and of counsel to Carpenter & Klatskin, P.C. Ms. Stodden's practice encompasses all areas of real estate law, business law, banking law, and creditors' rights. The majority of her legal career has focused on the representation of large and small financial institutions and other creditors in residential and commercial foreclosures, loan workouts, deficiency actions, and real estate litigation. Ms. Stodden handles quiet title actions, title claims, and lien priority disputes. Ms. Stodden has significant experience negotiating and documenting loan transactions involving real estate. She drafts and negotiates residential and commercial leases, license agreements, and enjoys working with small businesses on entity formation and organizational structure as well as providing assistance with a variety of business-related agreements. In addition to her work, Ms. Stodden is active in the legal community and is a frequent author and speaker on a variety of real estate law and creditors' rights topics. Ms. Stodden is currently serving a three-year term on the Colorado Bar Association Real Estate Section Council. In addition, Ms. Stodden is on the Board of Directors for the American Legal and Financial Network (ALFN) and is the Chief Governance Officer for the ALFN. Ms. Stodden also sits on the Board of Governors for the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association.
