Jennifer A. Viehman

Jennifer Viehman, Esq., obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1995. In 2001, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver and was admitted to the Colorado Bar by October that same year. Ms. Viehman was a prosecuting attorney at the Colorado Springs City Attorney’s Office from 2001 until 2004, when, in November, she joined the 4th Judicial District as a Deputy District Attorney. Ms. Viehman has tried over 40 felony jury trials from drug possession to homicide. She was assigned to the Special Victims Unit from February 2010 to January 2011, focusing on sexual related offenses as well as crimes against children. She was then promoted to Senior Deputy District Attorney. From January 2011 to June 2013, Ms. Viehman was assigned to homicides and supervision of attorneys in District Court. From June 2013 to January of 2018, she was assigned as a Senior Deputy District Attorney supervising the Special Victims Unit. In 2014, Ms. Viehman successfully prosecuted Robert Baillie for the 1976 cold case murder of Janet Conrad. In 2019, Ms. Viehman successfully prosecuted Patrick Frazee for the murder of Kelsey Berreth in an extraordinarily high-profile case. From January 2018 to present, Ms. Viehman has been assigned to supervision of attorneys in District Court as well as homicides. Upon promotion, Ms. Viehman is excited for the new challenge and the work that lies ahead.
