Matthew J. Bruff
Matthew Bruff, CEO & General Counsel: Matthew co-founded Altela in 2005, a private equity-backed, designer and manufacturer of patented technology to desalinate and decontaminate highly challenged petroleum and industrial wastewater with offices in New Mexico, Colorado and Pennsylvania. Prior to co-founding Altela, Bruff was a shareholder with an AV-rated law firm specializing in environmental and natural resource law, utility law, and real property law. Matthew has over 18 years of experience in both the natural resource and technology industries and has acquired numerous precedent-setting legal and regulatory permits across the United States with respect to the treatment and beneficial re-use of oil and gas industry wastewater. He is a nominated subject matter technical expert with respect to wastewater treatment and related modeling for EPA's current study on hydraulic fracturing. Matthew is the named inventor on several patents (US and international) dealing with water purification. Matthew received his law degree and MBA from the University of New Mexico.
