Leigh Flanagan, Esq., received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 1999 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2003. After graduating law school, Ms. Flanagan joined the Office of the United States Trustee through the Department of Justice Honor's Program. As a trial attorney for the U.S. Trustee, Ms. Flanagan gained substantial experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters. Ms. Flanagan then served as a Law Clerk at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado with the Honorable Sidney B. Brooks from April 2007 through September 2007, Chief Judge Howard R. Tallman from October 2007 through June 2008, and the Honorable Michael E. Romero from June 2008 through April 2012. Ms. Flanagan became an associate with Kutner Miller Brinen, P.C. in April 2012, representing debtors and creditors in all areas of bankruptcy practice. Ms. Flanagan is a member of the bar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, and Colorado Bar. She is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association Bankruptcy Subcommittee, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, a member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and the American Bankruptcy Institute. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Missouri. Ms. Flanagan has been a presenter/panelist in the following continuing legal education seminars: (1) The New Bankruptcy Act, Colorado Bar Association CLE, October 2005; (2) New Bankruptcy Act Rules and Guidelines, Colorado Bar Association CLE, March 2006; (3) Bankruptcy Practice and Procedure Update, Colorado Bar Association CLE, October 2006; and (4) various presentations at Chapter 7 Panel Trustee quarterly meetings (2003 - 2007).
