Sander N. Karp
Sander N. Karp is a 1968 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. From 1968 to 1971 his private practice included criminal defense of anti-war protesters, court martials as civilian defense counsel, civil rights litigation, and employment discrimination claims. From 1971 until 1973 he was a member of the Military Law Office of the National Lawyers Guild in the Philippines and Japan, providing pro bono legal representation for American servicemen. He was a sole practitioner from 1973 until 2000 in Denver, specializing in plaintiff-sided employment and personal injury litigation until he joined Loyal E. Leavenworth to form Leavenworth & Karp, P.C. in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In January, 2010, the firm became Karp Neu Hanlon, P.C. Mr. Karp heads the firm's litigation section where he specializes in employment, personal injury and contract matters as well as general civil litigation. Mr. Karp is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, was a Regional Vice President for the National Lawyers Guild and is a member of the CTLA, CBA, DBA and PELA. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best Lawyers. Mr. Karp has been a frequent CLE lecturer and was an adjunct professor at the DU Law School. He has been an expert witness on employment related issues, including attorney's fees.
