David W. Furgason

David W. Furgason, Esq., Co-Chair, Peer Professionalism Assistance, is Of Counsel with Nixon Shefrin Hensen Ogburn, P.C.  His practice consists primarily of commercial and employment litigation, arbitrations and mediations.  Throughout his legal career, he has represented a variety of businesses and individual clients in business transactions as well as litigation.  He is well versed in specific statutory matters, including employment discrimination laws, the Railway Labor Act, and the Federal Railroad Safety Act, along with other commercial and employment matters.  He has also represented clients in condemnation cases as well as trademark and trade dress disputes. Dave has successfully tried numerous cases in State and Federal courts, before administrative bodies, and in arbitration hearings.  Dave's training and experience also enable him to act as a mediator or arbitrator for others who desire or are required to resolve their differences by means of some form of alternative dispute resolution.  In that regard, he is on the National Roster of Commercial Arbitrators and the Employment Dispute Resolution Roster of the American Arbitration Association.  His background in commercial and employment litigation serves him well in this aspect of his practice. Dave was also President of the Denver Bar Association 1998-1999, and is currently Co-Chair of the Peer Professionalism Assistance Group.
