Maria B. Lopez, Esq., has spent the better part of her law career as a solo practitioner practicing in the areas of estate planning; trusts and estates, probate and elder law. In addition to her law career, Maria was awarded the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1986 and has over 20 years of combined experience in the financial services industry as a fee-based financial advisor, senior advanced markets consultant and regional vice president. Maria is a member of the Denver Bar Association and Colorado Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Section; Elder Law Section, and the Solo Small Firm Section.
Her past professional activities include serving as Chair of the Solo Small Firm Section and as co-chair of the Other Professions Subcommittee of the Multidisciplinary Practice Task Force; membership on the Elder Law Advisory Board and the Elder Law Institute Committee of the Sturm College of Law's Department of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of Denver College of Law; Senior Law Day Committee, and treasurer of the Minoru Yasui Inn of Court.
