Arlene S. Barringer, an attorney with the law firm of Glatstein & O'Brien LLP, focuses her practice in the areas of elder law, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings (contested and non-contested), trust and estate planning, special needs planning, fiduciary representation, court appointments, and probate and trust administration. Ms. Barringer received her B.A. degree from Texas A&M University. In 1995, she graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, with induction into the Order of St. Ives for outstanding scholastic achievement. She currently serves as co-chair of the CBA Elder Law Section. From 2012 through 2017, she served as co-chair of the annual CBA-CLE Elder Law Retreat. Ms. Barringer also serves as a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc.; Women's Estate Planning Council (past president); Estate Planning Counsel of Southeast Denver (current Advisory Council Board member); CBA Trust and Estate Section; Arapahoe County Bar Association; and Catholic Lawyers Guild of Colorado. Ms. Barringer frequently gives presentations in the areas of elder law, protective proceedings, and trust and estate planning. In addition, she volunteers for the law line of the National Alliance of Mental Illness (Colorado Chapter), volunteers at pro se clinics held at the courts, and presents at annual Senior Law Day events throughout the metro area.
