Jean Woodford is the First Assistant Attorney General for the Financial Fraud Unit in the Criminal Justice section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office and supervises several lawyers and investigators within those units. The Financial Fraud Unit has original jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute cases involving securities fraud and insurance fraud throughout the state of Colorado and is funded by licensing fees paid by industry. In addition to her management duties Jean carries a full caseload prosecuting securities fraud. She also provides trainings to district attorneys and probation officers around the state on issues related to economic crimes. Prior to joining the Attorney General's office in 1999, Ms. Woodford was a prosecutor for the 18th Judicial District in Arapahoe County.
