Stacey L. Bowers

Stacey L. Bowers, JD, PhD, is a Professor of the Practice of Law and the Director of the Corporate & Commercial Law Program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She teaches Corporate Drafting, Accounting for Lawyers, Private Equity, Transactional Negotiations, and LLCs and Operating Agreements. Stacey has authored two books – Mergers and Acquisitions Simulations (West Academic’s Bridge to Practice Series) and Accounting and Corporate Finance for Lawyers. She is currently in the process of authoring a Capital Raising book and co-authoring a Business Organizations book (West Academic’s Learning Practice Series). Stacey practiced corporate and securities law on a full time basis for over 15 years and currently serves as Of Counsel for a local law firm advising clients on capital raising and securities related matters. She received her BS in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 and her JD in 1992 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
