Elizabeth L. Harris

Honorable Elizabeth L. Harris was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2015. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she was in private practice for twelve years with a focus on appellate practice. She also was an attorney with the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Colorado from 1997 to 2003, and clerked for the Honorable John Porfilio of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit from 1996 to 1997. Judge Harris earned her J.D. at New York University School of Law, and has a B.A. in English Literature from Georgetown University.
