Armand D. Lebovits, LCSW, CAC III, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado (LSW II in 1987) and a Senior Level Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC III since 1983). He graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Sciences and obtained his MSW degree at the University of Denver in 1982; his field placements were at the Arapahoe MHC, Aquarius Center an outpatient dual diagnosis clinic and at the JFK Child Development Center during graduate school. Armand's current practice includes services as a Parental Responsibilities Evaluator (PRE), a Substance Use Evaluator (SUE), Substance Abuse Counselor/Consultant/Joint Expert, Co-Parenting Consultant and psychotherapy services for adults and couples. Mr. Lebovits continues to be a board member on the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee (MDIC) since 2007 or for the last 14 years and was very active in coordinating with COAFCC and Boulder IDC in planning numerous collaborative conferences; Armand was a presenter and also co-chaired with Kate Lewis, JD, for the all-day March 2016, MDIC Spring Conference, “The Impact of Substance Abuse on Domestic Relations Cases: A Pot-Pourri.” Mr. Lebovits has presented numerous workshops over the last 15 years on substance abuse topics for MDIC, Boulder IDC, the Family Law Institute and for AFCC; and most recently in November 2018 for the 13th Symposium on Child Custody, Guidelines and Standards and Rules, in Denver with co-presenter, Colleen Moore, LMFT, MAT, on, “Navigating Substance Abuse Allegations in Child Custody Cases.” Armand continues to be the Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) Lecturer for the SCAO (Colorado State Court Administrator's Office) CFI Certification Course (since the pilot study in 2012) through 2019 and for the upcoming November 2021 scheduled training. Armand served on the Colorado Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (COAFCC) Board of Directors from July 2008 through June 2014; and was the Chapter President of COAFCC from July 2012 through June 2013; he was the co-editor of the COAFCC Newsletter with Lenny Tanis, JD, from 2010 through June 30, 2021. Mr. Lebovits was nominated in July 2015 to serve on the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues and his appointment continues through January 2022; Armand continues to serve on the Douglas County18th District Court Best Practices Team since 2016.
