Matthew Wester is a Partner in RubinBrown’s Corporate Finance & Forensic Services Group. His primary areas of concentration include the calculation of economic damages in commercial business disputes and fraud and forensic accounting investigations.
Matthew has over 18 years of varied experience in accounting and litigation consulting and provides services to counsel and business management on a variety of legal disputes. Matthew serves as a testifying expert and provides counsel with services ranging from pre-litigation damage assessments to trial proceedings.
As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), he has been retained by private and public companies to investigate cases involving the misappropriation and tracing of assets, financial statement fraud, white-collar crime, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other business as well as employee fraud schemes.
Matthew is a frequent guest speaker on workplace fraud for organizations such as the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Colorado Public Risk Managers Association, and Colorado Technology Association.
Other speaking engagements include those for the Turnaround Management Association on Exploring Misuses of Earnings Multiples and for The Colorado Bar Association on How to Avoid Post-Closing Disputes in Mergers and Acquisitions.
