David A. Harston is a founding partner at Elkind Alterman Harston PC and has been practicing immigration law exclusively, including business, family, asylum, and deportation defense, since 1999. Mr. Harston was selected by his peers as Best Lawyers® 2017 & 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” for Immigration Law in the Denver metro area, Barrister's Best by Law Week Colorado in 2017, and has been listed in Best Lawyers®; Super Lawyers®, and 5280 Magazine in the field of immigration law for the past several years. Mr. Harston is a managing editor for Immigration Law for the Colorado Practitioner, a 40+ chapter book published by the CBA-CLE. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and served on the Executive Council for the Immigration Law Section (2009-11) and as Section Chair (2009-10). Mr. Harston also has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) since 1999, served on the AILA Colorado Chapter's Executive Committee from 2004 to 2009, and was the Chapter Chair for AILA Colorado from 2007-2008.
