Pearl Schneider Young LLC.Jason R. Young, Esq., is a member of Pearl Schneider Young LLC in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Young practices in the area of insurance defense litigation and has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, motions practice, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials. His entire career has been spent litigating cases. Mr. Young has completed over fifty-five jury trials throughout Colorado, is a faculty member at the National Institute for Trail Advocacy, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. In 2016, Mr. Young had the honor of being one of three attorneys Nationwide who were nominated and selected by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for the Next Generation Faculty Development Program. As a “NextGen” faculty member, Mr. Young taught trial skills at NITA programs throughout the Country. Before joining Pearl Schneider Young LLC, Mr. Young served as trial counsel for Farmers' in-house litigation team. In this position, he litigated a broad array of legal actions which included: premises liability, commercial liability, general liability, and motor vehicle accidents. Before focusing on civil litigation, Mr. Young spent his first eight years in practice as a Deputy Public Defender in Adams and Denver Counties. He handled an extensive caseload, comprised entirely of felony cases, in various stages of litigation. He served as lead counsel, and completed jury trials, on a wide range of criminal cases including homicides, not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity pleas, sexual assaults, crimes of violence, and economic crimes. Mr. Young is actively involved in law enforcement. Mr. Young is a POST certified Reserve Deputy Sheriff and volunteers his time to assist the Sheriff's Office in its day-to-day law enforcement services and to assist during emergencies. Assignments include patrol and law enforcement duties; prisoner/fugitive extradition; crime-prevention presentations; search and rescue; crime scene security; sex offender registration/verification; and detention and civil operations. Mr. Young is also an Instructor with the Arapahoe Community College Law Enforcement Academy, Jefferson County Combined Regional Law Enforcement Academy, and Jefferson County Detentions Academy.
