Hugh H. Macaulay, III, MD, has practiced medicine for 38 years. He has done Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and for the last 20 years Occupational Medicine.  He was appointed by the Governor of NC to chair the Substance Abuse Committee for the state.  For the DoWC, he has served on the Task Force for Traumatic Brain Injury and on the Advisory Committees for Cumulative Trauma and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.  He has lectured for the DoWC, RMAOEM and served as a preceptor for UCHSC OM residency program.  He has been Medical Director for Pinnacol Assurance.  He is in private practice with focus on complex cases.
