Heather Hill, Esq., practices business immigration law with Stern & Curray, a leading full service immigration law firm. Heather formerly worked as an attorney on the Human Resources team of a global software company, directing the company's immigration strategy from new hires through company-wide layoffs/restructuring for the hundreds of employees on H-1B, F, J, and L visas. She understands the business decisions and compliance issues that companies face when employing foreign professionals. She has written and lectured on business immigration topics, most notably on I-9 compliance and Human Resources “best practices” for immigration. She trains employers on correct Form I-9 completion and retention and represents clients audited by the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor.
