Margaret C. Makar

Margaret C. Makar has been engaged exclusively in the practice of immigration law since 1990. Margaret is a past chair of the Colorado chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She was a Barrister's Ball honoree by the Thursday Night Bar (now Metro Volunteer Lawyers) in 1996 for her work on a pro bono case. Her practice is “AV” rated by the Martindale- Hubbell law directory. Her prior experience as a lawyer in government and in a professional position with a major U.S. corporation is a good background for her current practice, which emphasizes business and professional immigration. Her prior publications include “Foreign Entrepreneurship in the United States,” The Colorado Lawyer (Jan. 1994). In 2012, she presented on “Due Diligence in Immigration Matters (including I-9s) in Mergers & Acquisitions” for the CBA Business Law Section's Mergers & Acquisitions Subsection.
