Julie K. Lutz, Program Chair, is the Director of the Denver Regional Office, where she oversees enforcement and examinations in a seven-state region.  Prior to leading the Denver Regional Office, Ms. Lutz supervised the enforcement program in the Denver office as the Associate Regional Director and before that, supervised the Trial Unit in the office.  Under her leadership, the Denver office of has brought a number of major enforcement cases.  She has worked for the Commission in a variety of investigative, trial, and management roles through her career.  Ms. Lutz joined the SEC staff in the San Francisco office and also worked in the Washington D.C. headquarters for eight years as an Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel and as an Assistant Director in the Division of Enforcement before moving to the Denver office in 1996. Ms. Lutz earned her bachelor's degree cum laude from Stanford University and her law degree from Cornell University.
